Welcome to my website!
I am a 4th-year Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at the University of Pittsburgh.
My research lies at the intersection of political economy and development economics, focusing on how political, cultural, and institutional forces shape economic development. One line of work examines the relationship between conflict and development, both in low- and middle-income countries and in global perspective. A second focus analyzes the political economy of religion. A third investigates nation-building and regional development through both a historical and contemporary lens. Taken together, these projects advance a broader research agenda on the political, cultural, and institutional foundations of development.
